活動について

原種並びに改良種の卵胎生メダカを楽しむためのクラブです。
卵胎生メダカの仲間は、色彩的にもカラフルなものから地味なものまで様々で、小型の種が多く、小型美魚が好きなマニアにとっては、格好の魚といえます。しかし、入荷が不安定であること、また飼育方法がやや特殊な種類がいることなどから、一般のアクアリストに普及しているとは言い難いです。そこでこのクラブでは、卵胎生メダカの普及と飼育技術の向上、国内での種類の維持、頒布のしやすさを目指して活動を行っていきたいと考えています。また、種類数が非常に多いグループでもあるので、会員が協力しての種類毎の系統維持、累代繁殖も行っていければと思っています。

This is a club for enjoying the original and improved species of livebearers. Livebearers come in a variety of colors, from colorful to plain, and many of them are small, making them a perfect choice for enthusiasts who love small, beautiful fish. However, due to the unstable supply of stock and the fact that some species require somewhat special breeding methods, they are not yet widely used among general aquarists. Therefore, this club aims to promote the use of livebearers, improve breeding techniques, maintain species in Japan, and make them easier to distribute. In addition, since there are a large of species in the group, we hope that members can cooperate to maintain the lineages of each species and breed them for generations.

Our club provides members with a variety of information, mainly the latest information from overseas livebearers specialists.
We provide a place for regular interaction and deepen the relationship between members through discussion meetings and information exchange meetings.
We create a system that allows people who find it difficult to attend meetings to easily ask questions and receive advice by using Facebook (SNS) and other platforms.
We will strengthen ties with clubs related to livebearers in Japan (such as guppy clubs).
Our most important goal is to raise and breed precious livebearers and maintain their lineage in Japan.
